It’s time to take your classrooms into the 21st century by replacing that dusty,chalk-stained slab of slate at the front of the room with an interactive whiteboard solution. There are a lot to choose from, but hopefully this list will help you narrow it down.
Projectors
Epson’s BrightLink series of short- and ultra-short-throw interactive projectors make a good choice for educational use. The 710Ui, for example, uses a laser light source to output up to 4000 lumens of brightness, with image sizes up to 100", making it suitable for use in most classroom settings. With its 0.22 to 0.44:1 throw ratio, you can use the included wall mount to install the 720Ui directly above your screen or whiteboard to virtually eliminate the possibility of shadows being cast onto the screen when projecting, and protect the teacher’s eyesight in the process. Two interactive pens are also included to jump-start the learning process.
IQ Projector has long service lifespan, use pure laser, and single DLP photography principle, high contrast - It often need to open the document in daily teaching , the contrast requirements are common.
The ViewSonic PS750HD might be better for larger classrooms, as it can project images up to 120" from just 9" away from your screen or whiteboard; with its 3000-lumen output, though, it’s a bit more susceptible to room lighting. In addition to the wall mount and two interactive pens, it includes vBoard interactive software, which enables you to write on, highlight, edit, and otherwise manipulate documents and images in real time. Additionally, it features a PortAll compartment that hides an HDMI port with a built-in micro-USB cable designed to house an HDMI streaming player securely.
Panasonic PT-CW331RU, which also includes a wall mount and two interactive pens. Its key specs lie in between those of the Epson and ViewSonic previously discussed; it outputs up to 3100 lumens of brightness and can project images up to 100" from 8.2' away.
InFocus has been making waves recently with its JTouch displays, including the 65" INF6502WBAG, which is designed specifically for use in K-12 schools; for higher education, check out the INF6502WBAGP, which is virtually identical. The anti-glare screen makes it easy to integrate into classrooms where you can’t lower the ambient light. You can use the included stylus or your finger, thanks to its capacitive touchscreen. It also allows you to connect directly to the Internet with an optional LightCast Key.
The 10-point touch functionality of the 70" Sharp AQUOS BOARD allows up to four people to write on it at the same time using their fingers or touch pens—one of which is included—thanks to IR touchscreen technology. The included pen also allows you to engage the Pen Software user interface to adjust pen settings and functions; if you have additional pens, each can have its own settings, such as writing color, since each pen has its own dedicated menu. Handwriting recognition allows the AQUOS BOARD to convert handwritten notes into standard text to provide a neater look.
IFP6560 series is aimed at those educational institutions looking to improve collaboration in the classroom and student engagement with the curriculum – whether that is primary, secondary or higher education facilities.
Aside from the introduction of InGlass technology, the IFP6560 also features a biometric fingerprint reader. For many schools, the security of its internal network is extremely important – any new hardware must account for this before they will consider implementing it. The biometric fingerprint reader, fitted to the front of the panel, enables teachers to securely sign-in and share content amongst other panels. It also means the screen can be locked so that students cannot inadvertently access or edit content.
